I've never actually liked vampire related books, mainly because I'm always focused on romance and vampire books normally gives me the creeps, but after reading Vampire Academy, it has changed my mind. The book has romance which is a plus one but what made it so good was the plot, in my mind I'd always think vampire books are always, violence and stuff like that. Yes, there are scenes that grossed me out but it made everything seem more real in that type of vampire world.
I've read the first and second book in there series and cannot wait to read the 3rd and carry on from that, I'd always find myself reading this book and getting to the end in a blink of the eye.
If you do like supernatural and some romance, I recommend this book, it will be one of you favourites within seconds.
The book did give me some times where I would want to put the book down and take a few breathers, mainly because the book gets better by the second.
